IEC/SPA Gateway for the communication between ABB SPACOM RELAYS and GE Harris IEC-103 Master OR ABB RTU560 IEC-103 Master developed for ABB and implemented in 108 Grid stations at Reliance Energy Limited Mumbai, BSES Rajadhani Power Limited New Delhi & BSES Yamuna Power Limited New Delhi.

Features:

  • IEC 870-5-103 Bus Interface for IEC Master Side & SPA Bus interface on slave side.
  • Polling of Online Currents, Recorded Data, IRF indications and Trip/Reset Indications from 55 Nos. Relay Modules, connected and configured on the SPA Bus and transferring it to GE Harris FEP and in case of ABB RTU560 32 Nos of Relays.
  • Control commands like MAIN/SECOND Setting, LED reset from IEC-870-5-103 Master to a particular Module on SPA-Bus and responding status of the Module to IEC-Master.
  • Configurable number of slave stations, type of slaves modules.
  • An event buffer for storing up to 1200 Events includes 40 Events for each slave station on SPA-Bus.
  • Inbuilt data highway plusTM, RS232C ports and by using add-on modules connectivity and data exchange can be possible to other standard networks like Ethernet, DH-485 & DH+ etc.

Another five more Communication Drivers developed for Rockwell Automation and implemented at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Three out of five Drivers enabled the serial communication link between Allen Bradley PLCs with Siemens S5-135U, S5-155U & S5-115U PLCs using 3964R & 3964 protocols through CP525 interface. Rest of the two enabled the serial communication link between Allen Bradley PLC & ABB MP-100 (Ferro Alloy Weighing System) PLC, ABB MP-200 (Flux Charging System) PLC using ADLP-10 & EXCOM protocols.

Another Communication Driver for Bhilai Steel Plant that enabled the serial communication link between Allen Bradley PLC & SIDEREMES Temperature Scanner. The communication driver is developed and downloaded into DB Module to enable data exchange between the two systems for monitoring the temperature of molten steel at RSView32 SCADA.
